Prettia aka Liese Bubble Hair Color
I’ve been dying my hair like 93665364222 times already and believe it or not I’m not yet bald! Harhar~ Anyway, I super like the Prettia Bubble Hair dye cuz’ it’s so damn easy!!! Its just like shampooing your hair and tadaa~ instantly you have a new hair color! Magic~
I have written a review on the Prettia Bubble Hair dye before, but this time I wanted to emphazie on the COLOR. At first, I purchase lots of brown/blondes color such as MilkTea brown, Custard brown, Chiffon beige etc etc… the color was so pretty!! But one thing I hate is the maintanence, because after several weeks UGLY black roots would grow and you would definitely look like a pudding head! Which is a no-no~ Since then, I purchase on Dark colors such as Glossy brown, Natural Ash, Elegant Ash though the color is kinda dark but it still gives a twist of brightness compare to a virgin black hair. And the most important, even though black roots is growing but it is NOT that visible so you don’t have to worry about pudding head!!
Anyway, I don’t have an exact before and after pictures, but I’ll post up the pics of the hair color dyed using Palty/Prettia colors.
Recently, I have dyed my hair in Prettia NATURAL ASH:
(if you want your hair color to look something like this; use Palty Beauty Muave (reddish brown))
Then after dying it with Prettia Natural Ash, here is my AFTER hair color:
(The reddish tone is replaced with a tint of grayish brown)
Here are some reference photos, if you plan to dye your hair in Chiffon Beige, Custard Brown, MilkTea brown etc (Brown Series). I tried all the brown series from Palty and Prettia/Liese, it doesn’t really have a huge difference, when dyed the results will just differ on the lighter/darker tone. If you have virgin black hair color and wanted to achieve a Light brown look, you have to dye like 3-4 times before it could reach that certain color.
From Virgin Black to Milktea Brown-->Marshmallow Brown-->Glossy Brown-->Chiffon Beige-->Chestnut Brown-->and so on :
Palty, Prettia/Liese are NOT available locally so you can only buy them through online. Luckily, there are plenty of local multiply sellers who carry these. I bought mine at http://vanitygirlshop.multiply.com/ , she has plenty of onhand prettia/palty available and also provide pre-order spree. She’s a really great seller and very fast on handling queries and shipping of your orders. I bought like 4-5 times already and never once did she fail to accommodate me promptly. Currently, she has a couple of onhand stocks for Prettia so if you want to try it better order now orelse it’ll be sold out soon!
Omo~ I'm really into dyeing my hair but I got it damaged on my first attempt >< But this is just amazing! I want it I want it~ And it's really easy to use, eh? Ahh sorry hair but I think I have to buy this. HAHA, I'll go check out the website. Hihi <3
ReplyDeletei love the results of the natural ash color on your hair! i'm looking to get my hair colored a brown ash color and i hope rid away of the red tinges left on my hair from my previous color :D thanks for this post, it was soooo helpful to me!
ReplyDeletehey! I am choosing between marshmallow brown & milk tea brown. I am dying it on virgin black hair, i want it to show up but not have it too striking yellow or anything like that so i can still work. Appreciate it if u gave me some advice on the color differences, since you're an expert!
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: hello dear! im no expert on this..I simply enjoy dying my hair...hehe..Uhm,I would suggestgo for Marshamallow Brown..U don't have to worry about turning into too yellowish since you are dying from Virgin black..the outcome will not be too striking..but definitely noticeable! Go with Marshamallow Brown..it doesn't have any hint of yellowish tone..just a soft brown tone...Hope u achieve the look you like...(^_^)
ReplyDeleteHi~
ReplyDeleteI was wondering, how good is it at covering roots and the previous hair dye? Does it dye it equally? Because I have dyed my hair a few times like, 3 times and I now have a colour (dark reddish brown) which i really want to lighten to a softer brown colour. Just worried about how the colour will settle on the regrowth? Any advice? Thanks so much~
Thanks for the advice Janet! i will prob go with Marshmallow Brown :)
ReplyDeleteHow much did it cost to buy palty from that website? + shipping.
ReplyDeletehi. im thinking of dyeing my hair again. im on marshmallow brown (from v.black) for several months, need to lighten it a bit. what shade would you probably recommend? do you think if i dye it with another marshmallow brown, it will lighten? thanks a lot
ReplyDeletebtw, natural ash looks pretty on you
@Belle: Yes, it will lighten your hair color even though you are dying it with the same shade. Since your hair is not Vblack anymore so if you dye your hair again with marshmallow brown the shade will be adjusted thus it will definitely be lighter (^_^)~ Thanks for dropping by and your sweet comment ^_^
ReplyDelete@Xcupcakegirl: Actually I bought Prettia hairdye from plenty of shops. You can check multiply site as there are plenty of sellers selling Prettia Hairdye. I bought mine around PHP600 plus PHP50 shipping fee =)
ReplyDeletehey i wanna ask, if i dye my hair, how long it will be take? is it will back to normal if i rinse w/ shampoo?
ReplyDelete@asmel: hello =) based on my experience the color would last around 3-4weeks and would fade eventually...(",)~
ReplyDeleteI thought it is a permanent hair dye? oh well, I'm still gonna buy this,.. I'm gonna try glossy brown... so excited for my package to arrive.
DeleteHey, Janet. Nice blog:) wondering which effect of the pics is the color milk tea brown, chiffon beige and glossy brown? I wanted to dye by november. :))
ReplyDeletehi janet,
ReplyDeleteNice blog !! ^^ and thanks for sharing all your hair dye experience !!!
hehe.. but I still got some Questions about this.
Which brand do you think is better for your hair? i mean least damages your hair: Palty or Prettia?
And Which color do looks the most natural on Asian hair? cause i want to have.. ash brown hair.. but it need to show up.
yet i dyed milk tea brown from prettia, i'm pretty satisfied about it, but sadly after 3 month the color totally fades away.
i want dye my hair again, but this time more ash tone in it, which one do you recommend?
hope to hear from you soon.
and thanks
@KiKi: Thanks so much for dropping by...I would prefer Palty!! because the smell is not that strong compared to Prettia. Sometimes I experience slight itchiness whenever I use Prettia. But for the case of Palty, I never experience any discomfort on Palty dyes despite dying it 38637425324322 times. So in my case, I prefer Palty more..=) If you prefer ash tone, I can pretty much suggest go with Palty's "Cinnamon Churros"..I've already tried the shade and the color is so pretty, I'll update this post with a picture of me in Cinnamon Churros soon..Hope this helps..=)
ReplyDelete@Anonymous :Sorry for not labelling the pix..I can't pretty much remember the exact shades..But I think For the Milk Tea-Its Second left,Chiffon beige-Second Right, Glossy brown-1st right..Hope this helps..=)
ReplyDeleteThese hair colors are amazing... I love it! I have been interested with bubble hair colors after seeing it on youtube. Nice review :D
ReplyDeletehi!what is your hair color in the third pic?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the photos! I really like how Marshmallow brown looks. I died mine with Prettia's foaming dye in Chocolate Brown and like how it came out, but I think I would like to go a little lighter this summer. I think I'll keep the Marshmallow Brown color in mind. All the colors look really pretty on you! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Janet,
ReplyDeleteI just colored my hair darkest brown burgundy by loreol. The color is ok, but I would like to color it lighter with my natural darkbrown/red tones. What color would you suggest? Also, will it cover gary hair?
@Anonymous:I think you could try the the "Maracaroon Brown" of Palty..the color is brown with a mix of red...very pretty color..I'll update this post with some more pic of me with different shades for reference..Too bad, but Palty/Prettia/Liese they don't cover gray hair..Recently, I bought 2 foam hair dye from drugstore.com that claims it can cover gray hair..I'll post up a review once I get to try it..=)
ReplyDeleteHi Janet,
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about coloring my black hair mocha orange by Liese/Prettia. How noticeable do you think it will be?
Hi dear, not much noticeable if you are dying from a jet black hair. But of course, you will still notice a hint of mocha orange if you are out in the sun. But if you stayed indoor, the color would barely be that noticeable..hope this helps =)

ReplyDeleteWow, this one is really helpful! :)

Hi Janet,
ReplyDeleteI was reading this. I've been thinking about trying Liese out. My natural hair color is a dirty blonde and my hair now dyed dark brown. I want to lighten my current dark brown color to a medium ash brown, do you think Liese would work?
Hi dear, I believe you need to dye 2 to 3 times before it would actually show a medium ash since you've mentioned your current hair color is dark brown. Hope this helps! =)
Deletewow thanks for referencing the other hair colors you've used! I dyed my hair 2 mos ago with Milk Tea shade and I really love it. :) Nice review!!!
ReplyDeleteHi i recently bought the milk tea brown i dyed my hair a year ago, would the color show up really well? i hope you reply. because i'm thinking about bleaching my hair first :(
ReplyDeleteHi dear, i believe no. But it depends on your current hair color. If the lighter your shade, the color would shows up really well. I haven't bleach my hair but after dying it 3 to 4 times(from jet black hair), the colors shows well enough =) Hope this helps ^_^~
Deletei Just dyed my hair black..very black..i dyed marshmallow brown after that. but still look black..What can i do?..please help
ReplyDeleteHi dear,
DeleteTry dying your hair in a much lighter shade first such as chiffon beige or something lighter than brown. Then after 3-4 weeks, try dying it out with the shade you desired so that the color would show much better. Hope this helps ^_~
actually my hair is very obvious..but to balance my hair colour i dyed it brown. but it is very black....but the colour is not balance yet. so i went to the salon and dyed brown. but it become so black. the next day i dyed marshmallow brown. this is the third time i dyed my hair is 4days. the hair is not lighten yet. what can i do?
ReplyDeleteHi dear! try dying your hair with Custard/Chiffon Beige or anything that has a lighter shade than brown. Since you're dying it from Jet Black hair, it really wouldn't show even if you dye it 4x with Marshmallow Brown. Try dying it with shade that are beige based, it would lighten your hair. Give it a week or two, then dye it with your desired shade (Marshmallow Brown etc) this time it would really show the shade on the box. Hope this helps =)
Deletehi! may i know what color did u use on the 2nd picture? the one immediately below the virgin black hair? (ur wearing the yellow tub there). i really love the brown color of the hairdye and btw, it looks good on u...
ReplyDeleteHi dear, I think I used Macaroon Brown in that picture. Thanks so much for your kind words. Hope this helps =)
Deletehi dear, if I will be coloring my black hair to glossy brown, and will be wanting to tone down the color to something less obvious, would that be possible?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: hi dear, if you are dying it from black hair, glossy brown might not show that much except on the sun light. Your hair would look brown black, hint of brown. But if indoor, the color won't show at all... Hope this helps =)
ReplyDeletehi there, its me again, yeah I've tried it and it and Im not happy with the color indoors... :(... It really does not show.... What color would you recommend. Also, when will be the soonest time I can dye my hair again.... thank you.... :D
ReplyDeleteHi dear, try dying your hair into a lighter shade first such as Chiffon Beige or something lighter than the usual Brown shade. Then after dying it to a lighter shade, you can know dye the shade you prefer as the color would show much visibly. Please allow 3-4 weeks before dying with another color.. Hope this helps ^_~
DeleteThanks dear... ;)... I will follow your advise... I'll dye it again with chiffon beige, then with my preferred color... I'm happy with prettia because it doesn't dry my hair, BTW my hair is rebonded, do you think it's a factor why colors won't appear the way they should be appear? Sorry for many questions, But i really do think that you're already expert at this.. :D
ReplyDeleteHi Dear,I don't think that rebonded hair is the reason. My hair is not rebonded yet the color still doesn't show, I dyed my hair like 3-4 times then that's the time the shade/color appears more visibly. Oh by the way, I'm not expert I just share my experience with regards to the hair dying since I've been dying my hair for years. Thanks again for dropping by ^_~
DeleteHello. I have natural dark brown hair and I'm thinking of dyeing my hair this time. It is my first time to actually dye my hair and I don't want to spend too much for it like getting it done at a salon. I'm choosing between getting the milk tea one or the marshmallow one. Which do you think will look great? I kind of what to lighten my hair color but don't want it to be too bright or whatever since I have light skin tone. Thank you so much. :))
ReplyDeletehi dear, marshmallow shade will make no difference if you are dying from a dark brown hair. I probably would suggest the Milk Tea as the shade would show much better compared to the marshmallow color. The milk tea shade will definitely shred difference to your natural brown hair but won't be too light at all ^_~
DeleteHope this helps =)
Oh wow the glossy brown (4th pic) looks almost blonde (not sure if it's just the lighting)!!! I want to get a similar hair colour! I currently have dyed my hair with Liese Milk Tea Brown so it's like a medium brown.... which colour would you recommend if I were to try and go light brown/nearly blonde? Without bleaching preferably (if possible!) :)
ReplyDeleteHi sue, try reaching out for shades that has beige tone such as Chiffon Beige. This would lighten your hair color without bleaching. I think Prettia/Liese does have plenty of shade that has beige tone. Hope this helps ^_~
Deletehi! i dyed my hair two months ago for the first time with platinum beige. i'm redying it soon with the same color, but i'm worried it won't cover my roots. will using the same dye really cover my roots? and should i leave the dye on my roots for longer? how long would you suggest? thank you! ♥
ReplyDeleteHi dear, it would still cover your roots ^_~
Deletethank you for answering~ : ) should i leave the dye on my roots longer or will that not matter? ^^
DeleteHi dear, doesn't matter but you can also try it out. What I normally do is I apply more amount on the roots area just to be sure that it evens out the roots.=)
DeleteHi, How long before I can dye my hair again? I used the palty hair dye and I want to try prettia because I think it's a lot easier. I also just had my hair rebonded, do you think it's safe to color my hair again?
ReplyDeleteI really would NOT recommend dying your hair especially if you just got it rebonded. Wait at least 3months before dying your hair in order to prevent any damaging of hair.
DeleteHi there!
ReplyDeleteI just dyed my hair in the platinum beige color and it hasn't turned out as light as I had hoped. I want to redye it again in the same color the next day so maybe it would be lighter.
Have you tried to redye the hair next day? Was it really damaging f
Hi dear, I haven't re-dye my hair in two consecutive days but if you were to ask me give your hair at least a week of rest before re-dying it =)
DeleteHello! I love your hair.
ReplyDeleteWhich color Prettia hair dyes did you use to achieve the hair you had in the first picture here: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-b9h7XzbcPiM/TY74uIilZbI/AAAAAAAAAbI/Sb2tzUshhT4/s400/2.jpg?
Please reply! Thank you :)
