MULE: Artist Natural Foundcealer Review

I’m arranging my stash of makeup and notice that I owned quite a number of foundations. I have like 15 different brands of foundations and around 5 BB’s wherein most of the BB’s are only touch once because BB’s broke me out badly >_<
I should really STOP hoarding foundation since I only have ONE face and I don’t think I’ll be able to use them all up. None of them are even half finish and most of them are still 80-90% full TT___TT~

Anyway back to the main topic of this post which is the review of MULE: Artist Natural Foundcealer. I won’t talk much on the brand MULE as I have already introduced it on my previous post HERE and HERE.

MULE- Artist Natural Foundcealer in Light              Price:USD68
Let’s start with the Packaging:
  • It comes in a thick acrylic compact wherein there is a mirror inside, a plastic cover and 2 black puff/sponge included
  • Cream consistency concealer and eye brightener is located on top and a pressing button at the bottom is made available for the liquid foundation to flow on the tiny hole in the middle part.
Available Shades: Light and Medium
Swatches in Light
Experience:
The Concealer Cream is quite thick and creamy in my opinion. Although the coverage is superb but I find it a bit difficult to blend and work on. The Eye Brightener is thick too but a simple tapping can help minimize dark circles.

The Liquid Foundation is very creamy and it blends well on skin. The coverage is low to medium and buildable. Able to even out skintone, minimize redness and gives a dewy finish. Oil-control is good enough as I didn’t oil-up for 4hours and staying power is great as I don’t need to retouch for straight 6hours.

Application:
1-2  press is sufficient for entire face and the included puff is useful in applying the liquid foundation.

Overall Reviews:
I’m not that impress with the coverage of the liquid foundation as it did NOT conceal my acne scars and pigmentation. I guess that is the reason why they included the concealer cream whereas you could use it if you need an extra concealing. I do love the feeling of the liquid foundation as it is not heavy since you could still feel your pores breathing. The finishing is quite good too as it gives a smooth  feeling whereas a setting powder is not necessary at all. I would recommend this to those who have minimal blemishes and wants a lighter feeling foundation.

That’s it for my MULE:Artist Natural Foundcealer review~
Thanks for dropping by & Merry Xmas!!

MULE THEME 1 MAKEUP SET REVIEW + FOTD

Hellos! Today I’m going to review about MULE THEME 1 MAKEUP SET. I have reviewed about the MULE’s Summer Collection Makeup Set HERE. Since I love the Summer Collection set so much, I decided to get their THEME 1 MAKEUP SET too.

Let’s now start with the items included on THEME 1:
1)    Artist Curve Brush & Puff

·         These two tools were placed in a sturdy acrylic container that is so sleek and guaranteed to be free from dust or bacteria

·         The Artist Curve Brush is designed in arc-shaped wherein it makes application much easier and smoother. The bristle are dense to max and does NOT shred at all (wash like 367534754524 times but not a single hair has fall off)

·         The Artist Curve Puff is also designed in arc-shaped so that it would be easier to grip on. The puff is soft and thick wherein it makes the application more even

2)    Artist Essential Primer         40ml

·         This primer has 2 layers:
·         I super LOVE this primer!! It is very light and runny consistency wherein it helps keep my skin well-moisturized and enough hydration
·         It makes my skin surface much smoother for  makeup application

·         Even though I have oily combination but it does NOT oil-up nor make my face feel greasy. NADA…

3)    Artist Correcealer  Balm                  13g+5g

·         This basically is a concealer in balm type that has the ability to conceal all sorts of blemishes
·         Coverage is buildable and doesn’t feel heavy at all
·         Finish is semi dewy and looks really natural no matter how many layers were put on
·         It comes with a 5g Blush Balm wherein you could also use as eye brightening or covering of dark circles

·         The palette is designed with a flap that has a net wherein you could swipe off excess foundation on the net for a much even application(net is removable)

This Correcealer Balm is available in 2 shades:

#21 Light paired with Pink Blush
#23 Medium paired with Coral Blush

4)    Brilliance Powder + Thin Film Powder= MOIST FIXING POWDER          8g

·         It comes in a light pinkish powder with a subtle shimmers wherein it gives skin a luminous glow
·         Works as setting powder because it helps keep makeup intact and at the same time maintains skin moisture (no worries on having dry patches)

How to's:
Overall Reviews:
I super love this set!! Honestly, I do prefer this set compared to the Summer Collection Set to think I’m living in a tropical country and I have oily skin! I love this set more merely because this set has the Artist Essential Primer wherein it really helps smooth out skin surface for a much even application. While the rest of the products are pretty much similar with the Summer Collection set.

Who to Recommend:
I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a full coverage but still wanted to look seamlessly natural as this definitely does the trick.

I think MULE has yet expanded internationally so as of the moment this is only available in KOREA. But there are several online platforms whereas some sellers do carry MULE products.

Till here, sorry for the long post and ending with an FOTD:

Korean Beauty Hauls

Hellos dear!! Today, just wanted to share the items I hauled last month from Korea.  The brands I hauled are not popular overseas so most of you might not be familiar or even heard about it. I, myself is not familiar with these brands too but since they look pretty interesting and I was also intrigue about it so I decided to get them.

Here are the items I hauled from KOREA.

1)      MULE THEME 1 MAKEUP SET                KRW79,000 (USD70)
l         I have reviewed MULE’s Summer Collection HERE few months ago and since I loved it so much I decided to purchase their THEME 1 set too
l         It’s pretty much similar with the Summer Collection, the only difference is that instead of the Sun Base this set contains Milk essence Primer (as per below)
l         For more info on MULE click HERE

2) COREANA: 4D Motion Massage Foam Cleanser Set         KRW59000(USD50)
l         I have mentioned before that I badly wanted a Clarisonic and end up with the cheaper TWINBIRD 4 in 1 Cleanser which I have reviewed HERE last month.
l         I bought this because it is much cheaper than clarisonic plus I was intrigue with the “4D” name
l         Since this is a set, It includes awhole lotta items on the set:
a)      1 Cleansing device unit with a free spare head
b)      1 box of Fresh Herb Nature Cleansing Tissue
c)       1 Tube of Fresh Herb Nature Foam Cleansing
d)      1 Bottle of NOKDU Bubble Massage Foam
e)      A bag of Coreana Skincare samples
f)       Coreana Paper Bag

3) IASO: Intensive Clear Booster            KRW65000(USD 58)
l         I think some of you might be familiar with this brand since IASO has expanded across the globe
l         I bought this because it has both of my favorite ingredients which are AHA and BHA
l         I just bought the Clear Booster but they included a whole lotta samples on it

I love how generous Korean Shop provide samples and they even hand you samples even if you don’t buy any!! I hope American brands can also practice the same generosity and we (consumer) will be very happy and pleased with this kind of gestures.

I’ll be reviewing them all sometime soon once I get to try all of them ^_~
Will also be hosting my 300K hits giveaway soon internationally and some of the giveaway items are the one above; so watch out for it!

Let me know if you find anything interesting above and what products you would like to try yourself.

MULE Summer Makeup Collection Review

Some of you might not  be familiar with this brand so here’s a little overview of the brand MULE.
MULE (Make Your Own Rule) is a makeup brand launched by LG Household & Health Care wherein they collaborated with one of Korea’s top celebrity makeup artist “Jung Saem-mool”.
JungSaem-Mool is the makeup artist who creates and set the trend on “celebrity translucent makeup”.

If you want to know more background about the brand, you can visit here.

Let’s now go to my review on the products included in the 2012  MULE Summer Makeup Collection

·         The bristles of the Brush are super dense and soft! If you think Sigma’s brush is dense enough then I tell you this brush is even denser than Sigma’s!! Since the bristles are short so it doesn’t shred at all! I’ve wash them quite a few times and it does not shred or flake at all. The handle is created in ARC shaped so it makes it much convenient for makeup application
·         As for the PUFF, it is soft, thick and sturdy enough. It’s definitely a high quality sponge if you must compare it with the drugstore one. But I’m not really a sponge person so I don’t quite use this sponge that often.
·         Overall, both the Brush and PUFF are made with top quality materials which help the makeup application more convenient and seamless.

2)    ARTIST CORRECEALER BALM
This palette contains a blusher and a concealer balm. The packaging is designed with a side flap that has a net, wherein the purpose is to control the amount of product you want to apply on your skin; by merely swiping the brush on the net.

·         The coverage of the Concealer is good, definitely buildable. Able to conceal all sorts of blemishes seamlessly
·       The shade of the Blusher is really pretty and natural, which can also be used as eye brightener
This palette is available in only two shades:
  #1 Light with Pinkish Blusher
   #2 Medium with Coral Blusher
·         It’s a base makeup that has a tint of green shade. We all know that green tends to minimize the redness so this really helps neutralize the skintone.

·         I have redness all over my cheeks due to acne scarring but this base really helps tone down redness a bit.
·         The consistency is adequate not too runny and doesn’t feel greasy or sticky at all.
·         Overall, a light base that works like a primer which also helps neutralize the skintone.

·         It comes in a light pinkish powder that tends to help set the makeup intact
I’m not really a fan of the puff attached to it, I’m still fond of using brushes when applying setting powder

I did a quick look using the MULE Summer Collection as per below:
Step 1: Prep your skin with SUN MIRROR BASE wherein it helps corrects and neutralize your skintone
 Step 2:
Use the CURVE BRUSH, swipe a bit of concealer balm, brush off the excess on the net and apply to skin
Step 3:
Apply SUN GLASS POWDER in order to set the concealer intact
Step 4:
Use the CURVE PUFF, swipe a bit of the blusher and gently tap on your cheeks

Overall Review on the MULE Summer Collection
·         My favorite product of the entire range would probably be the ARTIST CURVE BRUSH and the Concealer. These two products can really make skin look naturally flawless despite having a bad skin (yours, truly) >_<
I have a sensitive acne prone skin and I used this for straight 7 days and didn’t encounter any discomfort so I believe the ingredient used are safe for sensitive skin.
I would really recommend this range as this really is a nice collection if you want to achieve a naturally seamless look.
Where to buy MULE products:
·         As of the moment, this is only available in Korea but I’ve seen MULE products sold in EBAY, GMARKET and TAOBAO. So for overseas buyers, you might want to check those sites for reference.

·         BTW, I bought mine at CjMALL for KRW 99000(approx. USD 87) which consist of 2 sets of Correcealer balm, Sun Mirror Base, Sun glass powder, 1 set of Brushes and a MULE shopping bag. I think the entire package is pretty affordable considering that the products are made with high quality materials/ingredients.

Any of you guys heard about the brand MULE? What do you think of this brand?
