I
have been wanting to try out different brand of brushes as I get tired of having to wash my SigmaF80 every single day! I only prefer using Sigma brushes therefore sometimes I get too
lazy that I would literally NEGLECT washing it! (which is NOT a good practice-__-)
I’ve tried
quite a few kabuki brushes from Elf, Ellana
and Marionnaud but all three brands are not even close to ¼ of Sigma’s quality
>_< I have
heard so many great reviews with regards to Charm Brushes so I opted to try out
this brand since the price is not that expensive either =)
Here are the Charm Brushes
on my recent haul:
1) Charm Vegan Contour Blush Brush Price: PHP399/ USD 10
What
it claims:
·
Made with superior-grade animal friendly Vegan Hair
·
Applicable for Wet or Dry blush product
·
Offers luxurious experience while applying makeup
that feels silk on the skin
My
Reviews:
·
The density of the hairs is good enough as it picks
up appropriate amount of product for
makeup application (especially when in comes to contouring)
·
The hairs are pretty soft and does feels nice on
skin
·
The length of the hairs is longer compared to Sigma
but it didn’t lead to any hindrance when applying makeup
·
The brush itself is very sturdy which does not lead
to any shredding
·
Overall quality is definitely nice as it makes
blush and contouring application a lot easier! ^_~
2) Charm Vegan Powder Brush Price: PHP399/ USD 10
What
it claims:
·
Made with superior-grade animal friendly Vegan Hair
·
Offers luxurious experience while applying makeup
that feels silk on the skin
·
Able to distribute powder evenly across face
My Reviews:
·
The hairs are pretty soft and does feels nice on
skin
·
The length of the hairs is longer compared to Sigma
but it didn’t lead to any hindrance when applying makeup
·
The brush itself is very sturdy which does not lead
to any shredding
·
Overall quality is good only if they could improve
on the density so that setting of powder would appear more even
3) Charm Essentials Angled Kabuki Buffer Brush Price:PHP650/USD 15
What
it claims:
·
Made with Ultra Lush Bristles that feels velvet on
skin
·
Allows a buildable coverage because of the density
of the brush
·
Folds and contours skin so that no spot would be
missed out
My
Reviews:
·
The hairs are super soft and skin feels velvety
·
Noticed that the bristles are quite thin which
makes buffing and contouring application easier (simply glides on skin)
·
The brush itself is very sturdy which does not lead
to any shredding
·
Overall quality is nice only if they could improve
on the density so that buffing of foundation would be more even
4) Charm PRO#14 Precise Angled Liner Brush Price:
PHP399/ USD 10
What
it claims:
·
Allows to create a very precise and sharp thin line
·
Diagonally shaped brush can achieve the eye lining
perfection
My
Reviews:
·
The brush is thin and long which makes it look
quite flimsey
·
The glue they have used to attach the brush head
has dried out so the moment I took out the brush from the sleeve; the brush
head has dislocated already
·
I don’t think I could use this brush and able to
create a perfect eye lining as the bristles are not designed steady enough
·
This is my least favourite brush judging with the
flaw appearance and non-functional claims.
Overall
Reviews of the Charm Brushes:
- I would probably rank it as 8/10 since the rinsing and drying process of these brushes does take pretty quick plus the bristles stay in shape even without a brush guard ^_~
5) Biore Cleansing
Oil Price:
PHP430/ USD 10
What
it claims:
·
Dissolves and removes stubborn makeup while lifting
away dirt and impurities
·
Leaves no greasy film on face and maintains skin
natural moisture balance
My
Reviews:
·
Removes makeup thoroughly without irritating eyes
·
One pump is sufficient to remove all types of makeup including those stubborn mascara that
takes forever to remove
·
Very gentle as no extreme rubbing is required
·
Have a hint of sweet fruity scent
·
Does not irritate existing acne or encountered any
discomfort from a sensitive skin user
·
Does NOT make skin oily or greasy after using
(speaking from an oily combination skin user)
·
This is definitely my HG makeup remover to date!!!
^_~
That’s
it for my recent hauls and hope you find it helpful ^_~
Thanks
