As I have a very very OILY skin, I'm always prone to acne/pimple. I'm quite a lazy person, so I just wanted a facial wash that could actually prevent and cure the acne/pimple kept pumping on my face.I've tried lots of facial wash specializing in Acne/pimple skin but it seems that none of them works as I expected. I'll try to write a quick review of all the FACIAL WASH I've tried so that you guys might have a idea of the product before purchasing it. (but it ALL depends on your skin types, MINE is oily skin)
1) Cetaphil
-I guess lots of people used this because it is mild, but I think this product doesn't work for acne prone skin.
Pros:
Mild & Safe (non-allergic)
Available in Watson's and other leading supermarkets
Affordable
Cons:
Doesn't heal nor prevent pimples
2) Acne Aid Bar Soap
-I think this bar soap is quite popular in States because it contains ingredients that could actually prevent pimples
Pros:
Available in Watson's and other leading supermarkets
Affordable
Dries up pimple/acne marks
Cons:
Might be too harsh for some skin types
Experience mild peeling of skin
After washing, skin becomes too DRY and reddish
3) Himalaya Herbal
-Quite new in the market
Pros:
Foamy makes it easier to wash up
Affordable
Dries up pimples
Cons:
Doesn't heal nor cure pimple/acne marks
4) Body Shop-Tea Tree Oil Facial Wash
-I always thought that Tea Tree Oil clears up pimple but upon trying lots of Tea Tree products, I conclude that Tea Tree Oil DOESN'T cure pimple.
Pros:
Foamy makes it easier to wash up
Nice pump-up bottle
Cons:
Expensive and only available in Body Shop
Doesn't cure/heal pimple/acne
5)Burt's Bee Deep Cleansing Cream
Pros:
Safe and Organic
Mild and non-allergic
Smoothness and refreshing after wash
Cons:
Expensive and only available in Beauty Bar
Doesn't heal nor cure pimple/acne
6) ETUDE HOUSE- AC Clinic Facial Wash
Pros:
Cute packaging
Affordable
Smoothness after every wash
Cons:
Available only in Etude House
Doesn't heal nor cure pimple/acne
7)THE FACE SHOP- Acne Cleanser
Pros:
I really can't think of any, NONE I might say
Cons:
Available only in THE FACE SHOP
Expensive
Doesn't heal nor cure pimple/acne
hi sis! have you tried the cetaphil antibacterial bar soap, not the gentle type?
ReplyDelete@Anonymous: Hi there! yup, I did too but did nothing as well =(
ReplyDeleteSo is there any thing you used that helped? Personally, the best thing i used so far (it helped out with my acne too!) was the face shop green tea wash. You should try it out [i have super oily skin too even thou it says its for sensitive skin LOL]
ReplyDeleteHi Janet...I've ever used TBS tea tree facial foam too long time ago, but it did not suit well with my acne prone skin. Instead of having a clear face without pimples, I was having more and more pimples... :(
ReplyDeleteI have read somewhere an article about acne prone-sensitive skin (forget the link). But what I've got is that sometimes tea tree product or acne products can be harsh to acne prone - sensitive skin. Maybe what I experienced with TBS teatree is like this. My acne prone = very sensitive skin overreact with the product, i was getting more pimples,my face became red and very dry. My skin is very stressed. now i'm trying to find product that is gentle to my skin... getting tired with this acne T_T.. have you tried sebamed? Think that it works well with my acnes :)

ReplyDelete@Anonymous: Hi Stepanie, I haven't tried the dalandan c w/Eskinol yet but I've read a lot of reviews on this but not all people find it effective...maybe you could try reaching out to those you have tried it to be more accurate =)
ReplyDeletepinkiericegurl did a review on it on her youtube channel, you could check it out ;)
Hey, thanks for following me, I wouldn't have been able to discover your blog. There are not too many beauty bloggers who write about skin care and battling acne problems.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough, I haven't used any of the above products. But it inspired me to write about the products I'm using now.
hi! so what facial wash are you using now? my skin is also oily and acne prone. i have used alot of products like proactiv, belo, ponds and now i am using cyleina black pearl soap but still i dont think its clearing up my face.. i still have those bumps, blackheads ,whiteheads etc. ugh!! can you help me with this? thanks alot!
ReplyDeletehi dear, I'm currently using Murad's AHA/BHA exfoliating cleanser. I've done a page on the list of products I used at the moment:http://allaboutjyl.blogspot.com/p/my-current-skincare.html
DeleteThanks for dropping by =)
i've been using cetaphil for almost 1 year..it does heal my pimple, but in a long way,i've to be really patient..later,i tried the face shop, acne cleanser, the main ingredients are tea tree+barley..i used for almost two weeks and my face become clearer..even the tiny pimple, the one that look like rashes, also gone...so i vote the face shop cleanser over cetaphil..

I'm amazed, I must say. Rarely do I encounter a

you have hit the nail on the head. The issue is something too few men and women are speaking intelligently
