Hellos!
Today I wanted to share my recent Marionnaud
Premium Brushes haul. I did not intend to get these at all but
since Marionnaud Brushes are the only available brushes on our nearby Watson’s;
I have no other options but to get them. The reason why I have to get this set
is because I lost my entire Virginia Wilson Brush set while travelling
to my friend’s house and I urgently needed a brush set since we will be doing a
makeover~
Here goes my review on the
Marionnaud Premium Brushes:
1)
N5 Concealer Brush Price:
PHP 149 or $4
- Synthetic
fibers- especially designed for full coverage application of under eye
area and soft touch up
- The brush is great for undereye application but I would say it is too thin for spot concealing touch-ups
2)
N8 Pointed Eyeshadow Brush Price: PHP 129 or $3
- Made of
natural goat hair – designed to contour, accent and shape precisely
- The hairs is a bit short but so far it still makes eyeshadow application nice and easy ~
3)
N6 Eyeshadow Brush Price:
PHP149 or $4
- Made of
natural goat hair- designed to contour, accent and shape
- So far, this blending brush is ok as it does work pretty nice when blending the eyeshadows
4)
N38 Slanted Eyeline and Eyebrow brush Price: PHP 119 or $3
- Made of
synthetic fibers- helps shape perfect eyebrows
- This is my favourite brush of all set as both ends functions well enough
5)
N11 Fan brush Price: PHP199 or $5
- Made of
raccoon bristle- for vivid cheek color application, or soft blending and
dusting of excess loose powders
- I have to say this is my least favourite as the hairs are so scratchy and flimsey! I purchase this planning to use it as contouring but sadly it doesn’t work at all >_< plus it shredded on my initial wash!
Overall Reviews of the
Marionnaud Premium Collection Brush:
- If I would rank this set, I would probably rate it as 7 out of 10 as they really need to improve the density (prevent
constant shredding) and the texture of the hairs~
- I’ve tried Marionnaud Blush and
Kabuki brushes before and I was so disappointed because the hairs are super scratchy and it takes forever to dry >_<
- However, there are three things
I did find myself loving these brushes:
1) The way the brushes are design- looking
really sleek and high-end! Plus I love rubbery velvet brush handles (I can
say it is water-proof!)
2) The ferrule attached to the handle and brush head is super sturdy (the
glue they use to attach is definitely way better than eco-tools and sigma!)
3) The price range is considerably affordable
compared to other locally available brushes (Charm, Suesh, Ellana etc)
I’ve
been wanting to get my hands on Sonia Kashuk and Real Technique Brushes soon~
Any suggestion which brush I should get first from either brands?
Thanks
