Hauls + Reviews: Tony Moly, Neutrogena, Revlon, CoverGirl and A BONNE’

Discovered that there’s another Korean Beauty shop namedTony Moly” opened in SM Manila. Since it’s new, so I just have to check what nice goodies I can get from this new Korean Beauty Shop “Tony Moly”.

Tony Moly pretty much carries similar goodies as to Etude House ; ranging from make-ups, skincare to even hair dyes! The only difference is that Etude’s packaging/brand image are mostly targeted to teens or young adults(designs with lots of floral, pastel and rainbow colors) While for TONY MOLY, the brand tends to capture in between the range because their packaging is somehow elegant/classic but of course with a twist of cuteness.

Even though they have lots of products but I didn’t find anything interesting. But since I’m running out of makeup remover and the SA is so insistent thus I splurge on the following products:

1)      TONY MOLY: Floria Milky Cleansing Cream
Price: PHP580 approx USD13      Size: 100g

What it Says on the Jar:
This milky cleanser removes makeup residue and impurities from the pores as the cream melts and turns to an oily texture when it is massaged into skin. In contains Calendula officinals flower extract, Viola tricolor extract and phunus serrulata flower to maintain the skin’s moisture balance and provide vitality to skin stresed by environment and frequent makeup use.

What I have to Say:
Basically it’s similar to  a Pond’s Cold cream, a cream based cleanser that targets to remove make-up and at the same time also provide instant cooling sensation upon usage.
It does remove my foundations but NOT the mascaras and I didn’t feel any cooling sensation but instead stingy with a mix of burning feel. What’s the use of a cleanser if it doesn’t remove makeup entirely, plus the stingy feeling is kinda distrubing as well.

Will I Recommend? NO.

2) TONY MOLY: Party Lover Nano BB Cream SPF50+ PA+++
Price: PHP1450 approx USD33      Size: 60ml

Mentioned in the Box:
---> Triple functional BB cream of whitening+ decreasing wrinkle + blocking ultra violet ray certified by Korea Food and Drug Association.
---> Will make your skin bright and shiny as gold
---> With the nano-gold ingredient contained to make the gold ingredients absorbed into your skin easily.

What I have to Say:
To start with I don’t even know why I bought this because I don’t use BB cream at all! I think the SA hypnotizes me or did something which made me bought this.

Anyway here is my review for this BB cream:
I DON’T LIKE IT! Why? Because it’s so thick&heavy plus it’s difficult to blend/spread through skin. Once you applied them on skin you will feel ‘something’ heavy is stuck on your face. I think my face is not breathable and it clogged my pores. Despite the thickness of the cream, the coverage is not good as it doesn’t cover acnes/scars well enough. The worst part of this BB cream is that it will definitely make your skin look white! Yes, White as GHOSTLY white. Creates SCARY white cast on photos with flash.

Will I Recommend? NO.

After roaming around the mall, I passed by Watson’s and was able to find something interesting from the REVLON’s and CoverGirl’s counter.

1)      Revlon: ColorStay Aqua “Mineral Makeup” in LIGHT shade
Price: PHP1350 approx USD31      Size: 9.9g

What Revlon Says:
--> Instant hydration with coconut water
--->Luminous look that lasts all day.
--->Shine-free formula made with water, not oil
--->SPF 13
-->Available in 8 shades

What I have to Say:
This is by far the BEST powder foundation I have ever tried! Trust me, this MINERAL powder gives me luminous, smooth and flawless looking skin and would lasts all day! (even though I have a terrible terrible skin with lots of scars etc) I super love the fact that this is non-irritating, fragrance free and able to provide enough hydration to skin because the formula is made with water. It also protects my skin from the sun as it has SPF13. Another wow factor that I'd like to mention is the feeling of "instant cool sensation" upon application!!!Makes your skin feel so refresh and light!

I think the only thing I would complain is that the brush provided is so small and short! making it so difficult to apply. I prefer using a bigger brush when applying so that  it would be easier to swirl and blend the entire face equally.

Would I Recommend or Buy again? YES!!!

2)      Revlon: Satin Eye Shadow in 01 Polished Bronze
Price: PHP350 approx USD8      Size: 2.4g

Super LOVE the color, so shimmery bronze!

3)      CoveGirl: Pink Cheekblusher
Price: PHP300 approx USD6

LOVELY shimmery pinkish color!!!!

I ran out of my staple Asian Secrets bodyscrubs and Watson’s are out of stock so I decided to get this instead:

1)      A BONNE’ Spa MILK Salt 2in1
What it Says on the Tube:
---> Moisturizing Bath Salt with whitening yogurt that will make skin soft and smooth.
---> Natural exfoliating and anti bacteria

What I have to Say:
This is a Spa Milk Salt Scrub so expect it to be rough and scrubby similar to a rock salt texture. But once you rinse it off, your skin becomes ULTRA SOFT and SMOOTH like Baby’s!!! Since I just started using this so I haven’t notice any whitening effect yet but who knows maybe if I finished the entire tube I would see some effects!

Would I Recommend or Buy again? YES!!!

2)      Neutrogena: Liquid pure mild facial cleanser
à a fragrance free mild cleanser that is suitable for all skin types

What I have to Say:
Nothing special, works pretty much just like any liquid cleanser. Able to cleanse off dirt and excess oil but does NOT dry my skin.

Would I Recommend or Buy again? No.

  2. Hi Janet~ I was planning to buy something from Tony Moly as well just because of the packagings. haha but then I realized that, after reading your post about it, I won't waste my money because of cuteness >< I also reviewed the Asian Secret body scrub and the milk spa salt but I've deleted my old posts so there's pretty much nothing on my blog right now o_O Anyhoo, I missed seeing your blog! ^__^

  6. Hi. I'm using the tony moly nano bb cream for several weeks now, and so far i am loving it! I've been getting compliments on how flawless and glowing my skin is. This bb cream doesn't give me the white cast u mentioned coz it gets absorbed pretty well and blends in with my skin tone. Maybe u applied too much product or didn't wait for it to be absorbed. Blend it well and do tapping motions for the nano gold particles to be absorbed. Hope u give it another try!
